There is a new wave of mini, radio-controlled helicopters beginning with the Silverlit Picco Z. However, the Palmsize R/C Helicopter (available from ThinkGeek) is even smaller. You have control over the helicopter with the use of an infrared remote allowing you to control the flight of the helicopter with left/right and up/down controls.

The helicopter moves forward at a constant, slow speed that can be adjusted by twisting the tail to the left or right before taking flight.
ThinkGeek has created a demo video set to the them of M*A*S*H. Be aware that you won't likely be able to fly your Helicopter as well as the folks from ThinkGeek straight away. They've had a lot of practice:
