Nintendo Gameboy Micro
$100.00
Released September, 2005
The Pros:Relatively substantial battery life - 6 to 8 hours on a full charge. Small size enables comfortable purse and pocket storage. Picture quality is significantly clearer and sharper than Game Boy SP.
The Cons:Lacks backwards compatibility with original Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles. Miniature display can lead to nausea due to extensive eye strain. Placement of left and right shoulder buttons is not conducive to the direction they must be pressed.
As the name implies, the Game Boy Micro is small enough to fit just about anywhere. The unit measures 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall, and 0.7 inches deep, and it weighs in at 2.8 ounces. The Micro will use a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, and the screen will offer adjustable brightness settings.
