The Interactive Toy Goodyear Blimp is a radio-controlled lighter-than-air (LTA) dirigible designed for indoor use. It stays afloat because of it's lightweight metallic nylon envelope that gets filled with helium, and is powered by three independent electric motors connected to fans.

You have full control on the up/down, left/right, and forward/backward directions and you can navigate it to a range of 100 feet. It measures 51" long, and reatures the Goodyear logo on its side in homage to its real life counterpart.

Radio Control

You navigate the blimp with the included 3 channel remote control. The blimp is available in 27 MHz or 49 MHz models and features a range of up to 100 feet. The remote requires a single 9 Volt battery, and the blimp uses a smaller CR123A battery.

Availability

The R/C Goodyear Blimp is made by Interactive Toy Concepts and retails for around $40 and is widely available at specialty R/C shops. There are several other varieties of R/C blimps available, and About.com has a good R/C blimp primer.
