The oversized board (with dimensions of 35" by 32") gives the players lots of space, and helps to enhance the overall experience. This version also features ANZAC (Australia and New Zealand) as a playable ally, giving the game a entire range of new units to use, and creating a whole new level of strategy. This version includes 450 pieces, giving each player access to a large number of units, and allowing the game to continue for long periods of time. When compared to another Axis and Allies game, Axis and Allies Europe 1940, Axis and Allies Pacific 1940 lacks some things, such as France as a playable ally. However, it makes up for this by including ANZAC is playable. The games appear to be nearly the same, and can even combine each others board.
